Position Breakdown
SAFETY.
EVERY SNAP.
Justin Powe plays free and strong safety with elite football IQ. His ability to read the quarterback pre-snap, rotate into coverage, and close on the ball carrier makes him a chess piece in any defensive scheme.
Comfortable in single-high, two-high, and Cover 3 — Justin's film speaks for itself. He doesn't just react. He anticipates.

MORE THAN
A PLAYER.
Justin Powe is a safety for the Troy Trojans and a native of Mobile, Alabama. After earning a scholarship as a walk-on in 2024, he started all 12 games that season and recorded 67 tackles. In 2025, he started 13 games and finished third on the team with 76 tackles. Entering 2026, he was named a Preseason All-Sun Belt Second Team defensive back.
Alongside that on-field production, Justin holds a 4.0 GPA and a spot on both the Chancellor's List and the Sun Belt Conference Commissioner's List. His journey reflects the preparation and persistence that took him from walk-on to a recognized contributor in the Sun Belt.
